"I find color has a life of its own."
I find myself engaged in the juxtapositioning of relationships of color and letting it take over. This results in a wonderful freedom that comes into my paintings. In this freedom, I become aware of balance and what makes the relationship of color work through a blending with the whole picture. The diverse styles of my paintings speak of different variables of life such as; happiness, sadness, boldness, courageousness and even, insecurity. The result of such blending is seen in an overall passion for life and the situations that life brings. “The shades and degrees found in the colors that I utilize, speak of the lyricism that conveys my passion for music, another essential element of my art. Color is not seen as static, but as a continuous display of emotions. Like music, it flows, creating a variety of moods.”
